This consultation is now closed and the Annual Budget has been adopted at the Wednesday 11 June Council Meeting, thank you to everyone who took part and gave feedback on the 2025/26 Draft Budget and other key strategic documents for the year ahead.

What's happened so far?
Early community consultation on the Draft Budget occurred between 28 January and 17 February 2025, with multiple community budget submissions appearing in the Draft Budget documents currently on exhibition.
This budget champions the community’s needs and aspirations by supporting sporting infrastructure, celebrating arts and culture, expanding community grants and boosting support for events that bring us together.
The draft document had been informed by community feedback, and all further feedback received will help shape the final 2025/26 Draft Annual Budget!
What is the Budget?
The 2025/26 Annual Budget details Council’s operating expenses that go towards quality service delivery, new initiatives and other associated costs to achieve our Community Vision of a Healthy, Sustainable and Thriving community.
What is the Capital Works Program?
The 2025/26 Capital Works Program outlines the infrastructure projects and programs that Council plans to deliver in 2025/26.
Council has adopted an innovative ‘plan, design, deliver’ approach, allocating $46.11 million across Capital Renewal, General Capital, and Strategic Capital projects to enhance community infrastructure.
What is the Revenue and Rating Plan?
The Revenue and Rating Plan 2025/26 – 2028/29 determines the most appropriate and affordable revenue and rating approach for Council.
Community consultation
The community were invited to review the 2025/26 Draft Annual Budget and other key documents between Thursday 24 April and Wednesday 21 May 2025.
Following the second round of consultation, submissions were considered and used to influence the final 2025/26 Annual Budget and associated documents before being presented and endorsed at the 11 June Council Meeting.
The Long Term Infrastructure Plan and Long Term Financial Plan are scheduled to come back to Council for endorsement in October 2025.
