This consultation is now closed, thank you for having your say on the concepts for a refreshed playground at Craig Watts Park in Neerim South!
This local playground has served the community for over 20 years and has now come to the end of its lifecycle.
We're looking to revamp the space and deliver an exciting new upgraded playground for the community to enjoy.
Before works can be organised, we're asking playground users, big and small, to have their say on which concept design (concept one or concept two) they prefer and what sorts of equipment they'd like to see at the playground.
Playground Renewal Program
Each year, Council's Playground Renewal Program sees playgrounds across Baw Baw refreshed with new equipment, safety improvements and minor landscaping to improve the experiences of residents and visitors of all ages - and this year, we're focussing these funds into Neerim South's Craig Watts Park.
What's happened so far?
Our officers headed out to Neerim South Primary School during Term 1 to engage with 60 students on what they'd like to see for their local playground. All feedback received has been incorporated into two concept designs, which are now available for the community to view and provide their feedback on.
Community Consultation
Community consultation was open from Friday 23 May to 5pm on Friday 13 June.
Feedback will be considered for inclusion in the revamped space, where the project budget allows.
