What is a public open space contribution?
A public open space contribution is a requirement of the planning scheme and Subdivision Act 1988 for the provision of a percentage of land or a percentage of the site value of land, that is payable to Council when land is proposed for subdivision.
When will the changes to the planning scheme require a subdivision to provide the proposed public open space contribution rates?
The proposed rates for the Baw Baw Planning Scheme via this amendment are not required until the Minister for Planning approves this amendment.
