The Tracks and Trails Innovation Working Group was recently established following the Victorian Government’s response to the Great Outdoors Taskforce, which confirmed that no significant land tenure changes would occur across surrounding state forests. The Working Group will focus on investigating existing and potential tracks and trails throughout Noojee and the surrounding district, exploring opportunities across walking, cycling and nature-based experiences.
By bringing together local stakeholders and community members, the group will look at what’s missing, explore new trail ideas and support practical, sustainable outcomes that improve visitor experiences, boost the local economy and protect the natural environment.
The tracks and Trails innovation working group meet on the third Tuesday of every month
Current Priorities:
Investigating a Latrobe River walk
Investigating a Boys Camp Road loop and linking to connecting routes.
Create awareness to current established and usable tracks and trails around Noojee and Disctrict
