Help shape the Draft Trafalgar Structure Plan

Consultation has concluded

Community feedback on the Draft Trafalgar Structure Plan is now closed. Thank you to everyone who took part during the consultation period.

What is the draft Trafalgar Structure Plan?
Earlier this year, Trafalgar residents, business owners and visitors were invited to help develop the Trafalgar Structure Plan, which will serve as a roadmap to guide the future of the town so that it will be a place people want to live, work and visit for generations to come.

The Plan provides a clear framework to ensure land use, services and infrastructure accommodate the future population and demographic changes while preserving and enriching the much-loved qualities of the township.

In addition, the Structure Plan addresses other important considerations, including:

  • Managing risks related to flooding, bushfires, and erosion
  • Ensuring appropriate land use separation
  • Improving connectivity and access
  • Promoting sustainability
  • Enhancing liveability
  • Protection of community heritage and environmental integrity.

The Structure Plan also includes a township-wide traffic and movement assessment and an analysis of land supply and demand. The Plan considers a range of issues facing the town to establish a clear strategic framework to guide the future direction of the town supported by implementable actions.

The Structure Plan aims to build a resilient and thriving community in Trafalgar through this forward planning.

Community Consultation

Consultation on the Draft Trafalgar Structure Plan closed on Sunday 8 December 2024.

We asked our community to review the Draft Trafalgar Structure Plan document, and asked whether they generally support the vision, key directions, strategies and actions outlined in the plan.

To help us gather this information, we created a short survey that was broken into four sections, including:

  • The Vision
  • Key Directions
  • Strategies and Actions
  • Further feedback
