Warragul Station Artwork Expressions of Interest

Calling all local artists: showcase your work at Warragul Station and let your art move the community!

Baw Baw Shire Council, in proud partnership with the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) and V/Line, is on the lookout for a local artist to transform the footbridge overpass at Warragul Train Station into a vibrant public art experience!

Transporting Arts Pilot Program

As part of the Transporting Arts Pilot Program, this opportunity invites Victorian-based artists - whether working solo, as a group, or in collaboration - to submit an existing artwork that captures the spirit and story of Baw Baw Shire. Think bold, beautiful, and uniquely local!

This is your chance to:

  • Share your creativity with thousands of commuters and visitors
  • Celebrate what makes our region exceptional
  • Have your work professionally printed and installed on the walls of the Warragul Station footbridge.

What we’re looking for
An existing artwork that’s scalable, visually engaging, and suitable for public display.

Your piece should reflect the essence of life in Baw Baw - its culture, landscape, community, or history. The final installation will be printed on durable, weather-proof vinyl panels, wrapping the internal walls of the station’s footbridge.

Ready to submit an EOI?

Submissions close at 2pm on Friday 30 May, and the successful artist will be notified by Tuesday 10 June.

To read the full brief, including selection criteria and site information, see the design brief document here.

If you’re passionate about making a difference and improving art in your local area, please submit an expression of interest below.
