Get involved with the Yarragon Projects Reference Group
Consultation has concluded
Yarragon is going through an exciting phase of development, with an increasing population and booming tourism industry, the outlook for the town has never been brighter.
With any growing region comes a greater need for services and infrastructure to ensure a high quality of life for community members. To ensure Yarragon continues to be a sustainable, healthy and thriving community, Council will be delivering a suite of projects in and around the town over the coming 12-18 months.
The seven projects, which include a number of design and construction projects, are aimed at setting Yarragon up for the future.
The projects are:
Rollo Street Master Plan - detailed design, tender and construction
Yarragon Streetscape Master Plan - design
Loch Street - road reconstruction and connecting pedestrian path
Campbell Street - road reconstruction
Yarragon Railway Station - connection with the Streetscape Masterplan
Yarragon and Trafalgar Pedestrian and Cyclist Safety Study - outcomes and consultation
Dowton Park Pavilion - design and delivery of pavilion upgrades to improve accessibility and equitable access.
To ensure the projects are completed in a cohesive and complementary manner, Council invited Yarragon residents to join a Project Reference Group that will work with us to achieve outcomes that deliver high-quality infrastructure for the entire community.
Expressions of interest for the project reference group have now closed and the PRG has been appointed. The first PRG meeting will be held on Tuesday 30 January 2024.
